Ovulation Timing

We offer an initial ovulation timing visit that includes a full physical exam, vaginal exam, and any pre-breeding blood work that might be needed. We do not run progesterone tests without this initial timing appointment, and an initial timing appointment is required for each new breeding cycle even if your patient has had a breeding with Dr. Morgan before.

We offer progesterone testing with our in house machine for same day progesterone testing results. 

We will work with you to determine the optimal time for breeding based on progesterone and LH testing. 

How to schedule:
Please call us at 267-253-9077 on the first day of your dog's heat cycle. 

For an initial ovulation timing appointment please be prepared with the following information: 

  • Relevant medical records (ex: medical records, vaccination record, etc.)

  • Minimum breed specific health testing. If you are unsure of what the minimum tests for your breed are, please schedule a reproduction consult appointment with us to discuss necessary steps before you pursue reproductive care. You can find out more by clicking here.

  • Any reproductive medical history
